Suprash
So, it seems in my ever lasting bid to get strip everything down and clean it up I went too far with my throttle body lol. So I undone and removed the x4 phillips screws that hold the throttle position sensor on, as I removed the sensory I heard the butterfly valve inside slip off the back of the sensor. Now, when I re-fit the throttle position sensor, I have to sort of twist it back but once its in place the butterfly only opens like barely a quarter, Im guessing this should really open fully. Is there a knack to re-fitting these, I've fiddled with it for a good 20mins and cant seem to get it right ? Anyone ?
Chris Wilson
The TPS is held on with two screws, sounds like you have removed the second throttle control actuator. Post a photo.
Suprash
Yeah, that'll be it Chris, still cant fathom how it goes back together though ? I knew I shouldnt have removed that part lol, is there anything online anywhere, someone must have been a twat like me before ?
Westy
It is fiddly but turn the sensor to the butterfly and manually open it by hand. I found it easier to open the butterfly the place the sensor on...when you release you will feel slight spring tension in the sensor but the butterfly should now have full range of movement and the sensor should line up with it's screw fittings. Insert the two screws and be careful not to let the sensor spring away from the face. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll try this tonight and report back, sounds too easy though lol
Chris Wilson
The sub throttle actuator (held with 4 screws, and connected by a square connector plug) should just bolt straight back on, I am at a loss as to what you have done. Westy appears to be talking about something quite different, the TPS.
Suprash
I dont know what I've done neither Chris lol, but its this bit..... Should this open the butterfly valve a full 90 degrees, I only get about 45 at the moment, but I know something slipped behind as I removed it.
