Poly bushing a supra - advice

I haven't time right now to explain why Toyota used spherical bearings in the rear top arms and a rod end on the rear toe control arms. They did it reluctantly, but for a perfectly valid and demonstrable reason. Changing to poly bushes in the top arms is a detrimental, regressive step. I will explain it later though if anyone's interested.

Any insight from you is always welcome Mr. Wilson.

This has long been a subject that has puzzled me to be honest.

So in your own good time.

I re bushed mine last year with R2R bushes from MVP all round.

Before I did it I read up loads about poly bushes and the different companies including CWs thoughts about the sphericals.

The job was a bit of a pig (I can imagine impossible if you don't have a press) but once done and new shocks and springs fitted it transformed the car. A full geo set up is required after all the work but in the first 12 months I have had no issues at all not even a squeak.

MVP did say they have had no issues with the r2r bushes over the years although they would say that if they are selling the kits.:taped:

Have Whifbitz used the Ikeya arms ?

Thanks for the tip Dnk. I purchased a set of brand new genuine Toyota rear upper arms from jjs_82 and they arrived about 15mins ago.

Great service all the way from Ireland.

Dnk, I owe you a beer at the next meet

You'd swear we were t'other side of the world instead of a slightly radioactive pond!

Well seen as though they were sent out on Monday and I received them Wednesday evening, I'd say that's pretty good :)

Yeah, that's not bad actually, the service between Eire & the UK can be a bit slow for the distance involved.

I can order forklift parts online from a company in Belgium up to 4.00pm (local time) and I'll have them here, in the middle of the bog, by 10.00am the following morning.

Now that's a service!
