Cipriani
I have had a few mixed opinions about whether to bush a supra or not, some say stock are the best all round and others have said that you should avoid poly bushing certain bushes on the car. I am needing to replace my rear anti roll bar bushes now and had planned to do the whole car after the summer, so should I be staying stock? Or if going poly what recommendations are out there for the rear arb? softer than the front id imagine Thanks in advance! Mike
scott87
Im going to polly the arms that are far too expensive to buy new for me and then buy the other ones oem. So rear upper arms are one for sure. Unless i find mint second hand ones.
Cipriani
I had planned to get the arms, arb's and chassis brace's powder coated and re bushed.
scott87
I had planned to get the arms, arb's and chassis brace's powder coated and re bushed. All good as long as the ball joints are ok. Ive heard polly is pretty firm but guess it depends what you use the car for.....
trebor69
You can buy the OEM rear upper bushes on ebay that you will need to have pressed into your arms, I however went with the super pro poly bush and I can't fault them.
Guest Budz86
I didn't think Toyota sold them separately? If they aren't listed on the EPC I would be surprised if they were genuine....
trebor69
They may be patten parts I'm not sure but they are identical to the ones cut out of my arms......can't attach a link (cos I'm thick) but here is the item number 261426195634. TBDevelopments
correct me if i'm wrong but i was under the impression the wishbone bushes (the expensive bits) were a spherical bearing inside, opposed to a pure rubber bush? i did wander why alot of members weren't happy with the poly and this could be why if its not taking the abuse like a spherical bearing would. We get this with the gt4 world, a company making poly bushes to replace a Spherical hub bearing just falls apart and deflects to much when pushed giving poor handling. Dnk
I'd contact jjs_82, he can apparently get a pair of rear upper arms direct from Japan for £450 Also as far as i'm aware it's not just a plain bush in this arm, there is also the issue that the very old ball joints in these arms start to show signs of wear, this makes poly bushing a non starter for me and a waste of time and money Edited March 22, 2014 by Dnk (see edit history)
chazuk
Whatever you do don't go power flex , superpro are good . Although if doing it again I would probably but a full arm kit from japspeed http://www.japspeed.co.uk/toyota-supra-rear-upper-camber-arms.html
Krister
Anybody done the polybushes? Do you get any squeeking from the bushes? Are the bushes too firm for a street car? Whatever you do don't go power flex , superpro are good . Although if doing it again I would probably but a full arm kit from japspeed http://www.japspeed.co.uk/toyota-supra-rear-upper-camber-arms.html Where are these made? Most likely in China? I would be a bit cautious about running parts like these, if they fail on the road you will crash and could kill someone or your self. My old car had it done, and it was very firm, but did seem to ride quite well still with a set of BC coilovers
Sukhy
I'm thinking of getting both my rear upper arms replaced and as the Toyota ones are about £300 each, I'm thinking of just upgrading to the Ikeya Formula one for around £780 for the pair. Sukhy
I posted earlier in the thread a member on here can get them for £450 the pair Is it really an upgrade, i doubt you'd notice any difference My car was down Whifbitz not long ago and Darren noticed a bit of play in the passenger side rear upper arm. Although I'm not sure if there was enough to warrant the change. He did mention though that it will be worth going for uprated ones (such as Ikeya as in their website) as they are around the same price as the standard ones. I'm interested if the standard Toyota ones are obtainable for £450 a pair though.
Dnk
jjs_82 is the member to contact Have Whifbitz used the Ikeya arms ? Edited March 22, 2014 by Dnk (see edit history)
Si_s Supe
It's a shame nobody has seen this little niche in the market! Supras are at the age now where suspension arms are needing to be replaced. Wouldn't it be nice if someone made decent replacements, with decent spherical bushes, for a reasonable price! If you had to replace all 8 wishbones, it'd cost more than a large number of Supras are worth! Totally prohibitive.

I'm not sure if they have used them personally themselves but I'll contact Paul/Darren to see what they say. It's a shame nobody has seen this little niche in the market! No idea on how good or bad they are but there's your cheaper option http://www.japspeed.co.uk/toyota-supra-rear-upper-camber-arms.html They do all the arms for the mkiv, towards the bottom of the page, but all out of stock by the look of it http://www.japspeed.co.uk/adjustable-arms.html?p=3 Edited March 22, 2014 by Dnk (see edit history)

Same place as hsd's ,bc's , d2, ksport are made in China and people run them This would be perfect and well tested as used on top spec drifting supras they do a front kit as well http://www.driftworks.com/wisefab-toyota-supra-rear-suspension-arm-hub-knuckle-kit-jza80.html
