Guest CrazyBadger
Hi, I have a little issue that i can't find the answer to. [sAD][/sAD] I have a stock N/A Manual with the Cat overheating light on. It come's on as soon as you start the car but the car's running fine. What can or do i do to sort this out? The only answer's i could find where taping it up somewhere but im not running an after market exhaust. Thank's
Guigsy
If you have a non stock exhaust (which I see from your other post you do) chances are you have a cat removed. So that's probably why. And the sensor is no longer there. I'd guess that's probably why.
Guigsy
Oh. You say your not running one. Confused. Could just be a broken sensor or wire or something
Nodalmighty
Remove the bulb as it I don't think it impedes performance from the ecu's point of view. Lyndon.
Guest CrazyBadger
Sorry if i've been a bit un clear, it's the standard exhaust. Hoping to fix this if i can, so i will check for the wires tonight. I keep hearing that there are 2 cat's. Where would this be? If i can't fix it then i'll do what Lyndon said Thank's
Swampy442
Does the car run alright? No misfires or anything?
Guest CrazyBadger
No car's running fine as I can tell
Nic
Could be collapsed/blocked catalytic convertor or maybe just the sensor playing up. I'd start by resetting the ECU - disconnect battery for a few minutes - to see if it makes any difference.
