Si_s Supe
My car came fitted with 17" TRD Type F/T rims. They're actually a lovely wheel and I don't dislike them, but keep think of fitting some nice clean UKs. I've never seen another set and the only ones I can find for sale are 15" and up for $1100 without tyres. Got no clue what mine would worth? So question is, stick with these rare, nice looking wheels or go for a nice clean stock look? I'm sticking with the stock exhaust too. I like the look of the stock tip so I've just had the centre boxes deleted for a bit more sound. Josh
Your wheels refurbed with gold centres and polished lips
Si_s Supe
I'd thought about gold centres, not sure how they'd look on a silver car though? I was thinking anthracite centres if they were refurb'd. Also, the rims are slightly curbed. Can they be refinished?
Dnk
Keep the centres as they are, just get the lips refurbed Edited as they really need a full refurb Edited March 10, 2014 by Dnk (see edit history)

Si_s Supe
Cheers guys. Any recommendations on where to take the lips? I think I'd be better off taking them to a metal finisher rather than a wheel refurb company??
dannysupratt
Get them refurbed they will look amazing, they wont be cheap to do but give exel wheels a call. The finish this guy leaves on wheels is incredible, he has a website too http://www.exelwheels.co.uk

Dnk
If they were mine i'd do the whole wheel as the centre section around the bolts needs doing as much as the lips, are they 2 or 3 piece ? Just don't paint the centres gold
Stonkin
Definetly keep them, they are a nice looking wheel, just need a refurb
Noz
Hey dude. How long you had this supra?
Si_s Supe
They're 2 piece. Have PM'd Ibrar about refurb'ing centres in current colour and refinishing the lips. Noz, I've owned it just over a month now. Bought it from a member in Devon. You know the car then??
Noz
Yes mate. I know it well. Bret kept it looking mint. I always tried talking him into modifications, he wasn't having it. Loved it stock. Got a few pictures of us together, was a mint example.
Si_s Supe
Awesome! It's got a few niggles that I've found since having it which I didn't pick up on I viewed it. But otherwise, a lovely car! So nice to be back in a Supra. I'm considering fitting LS400 4 pot calipers as the brakes are shocking but I'm not sure they'll fit behind these wheels thinking about it!?
