SupraLEDrears
Seems like everything is all happening at once [sAD][/sAD] Went to Liverpool last night and suddenly I saw smoke(luckily steam) coming out of the of the bonnet. Temperature gauge was about 3/4 way up. Turned the engine off and jumped out of the car, fire extinguisher ready for the worst and water all over the road near the drivers door. My first thoughts were headgasket or waterpump, but luckily it was only the hose coming out of the engine block that had a split in it spraying water all over the hot engine making it look 10 times worse. Nevertheless, the AA came out within 40 mins and bypassed the heater matrix, as he didn't have anything to replace the broken hose with. As I'm planning to do a complete flush next week, I might as well get all the hoses replaced. Cheapest complete kit with all the bends goes for £78. Does anyone on here know a supplier or would you just get some silicone hose to replace them all with? My only concern is the bends from the original hoses won't pinch but the straight silicone ones might, if bended. As always, any help appreciated and I will include it in my write up when I flushed the whole system out.
Kaan W
I assume your after the heater hoses at the back of the bay? When mine burst I replaced them with this stuff - http://www.viperperformance.co.uk/productsearch.php?xscId=9853 Replacing the metal pipes also just using a jubilee clip at each end. This stuff is incredibly strong and is coiled so it won't kink when bent.
