trebor69
Girlfriends Lucida is hitting the bump stops on the rear without much weight in it, now her last Lucida did this now and again but only when fully loaded with luggage and people. I am wondering where to start....it has dampers with seperate springs on the rear but can the springs wear out/become soft ? Could the dampers be at fault ? Any help/info on soft suspension would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

absz
If the rear is sitting fairly level then i would say the springs are fine and dampers are worn, bounce the rear end by pushing down on the bumper and see if its keeps bouncing.

trebor69
Thanks guy's, didn't think it was likely that the springs would "soften"...... will replace the shocks .
