Dnk
Only got a 3/8 torque wrench but I left it in work, il use my 1/4 inch drive then. I have the metal / brass part facing up and the rubber side seated on the cam covers. Thanks ????
ballsdeep
Sorry should have confirmed I Defenalty have the metal part up against the bolt head and the rubber down against cam cover! I must have just over tightened it then?
MattP
5.5nm is not much more than finger tight as lee mentioned I'm just fussy and spend to much time checking exact torque figures and double checking etc.. The sad realisation I polish every nut and bolt as I have reassemble the engine parts
Chris Wilson
The stock bolts have built in washers under the heads, the washers look to be upside down. The moulded in metal part goes on top, under the bolt head. the plasticky / rubber sealing biits go against the cam covers. Personally I would put washers under cap heads to spread the load against the metal insert bits of the sealing washers, if you see what I mean?
