advice on restoring the stock oem green dash lights

so i got my car a few years back and the previous owner had heckler i believe do the blue dash light conversion on it. to be honest its a shocking job, certain lights look a tad different color blue, some of them flicker, the main dash lights are so dim you can barely see them at night. been bugging me for ages. so basically i want it back 100% stock oem, because i think the value in these cars in the future will be a clean stock example and not something that's been butchered. the only way i can think to do it properly is to replace everything, what is the complete list of parts id need to restore the oem green dash.

my car is an auto TT . looking to start getting together bits i need over the next few months depending on cost to be honest, im not sure what can be salvaged or needs to be replaced,

What dials are they for? thanks il keep it in mind tho depending on what needs doing

I may be able to swap for you.

I have a set of dials that are oem for a manual, and have elglo dials over the top which I haven't fitted yet, and in my current car I have auto clocks.

Just an idea

Forgive my ignorance but what is done to the dash to fit these blue leds ?

Can you not just remove the leds and re fit with the green o/e type, pretty sure

you can buy them or used to be able to as i bought some ages ago to replace

some that had blown

Well if you want we could just swap our clocks?

Save you the hassle?

I'll be fitting my elglo dials anyway, my clocks are auto TT, even though I am manual now.

i know it was done by heckler mate, previous owner told me so. anyhow the work on this particular led conversion is like i said, shocking.

Contact heckler. He would be the best to speak to. Also saying you think it's his work and is shocking is a bit uncalled for as the previous owner come ld have done it himself and these may have nothing to do with him.

yeah thanks mate, this is what im going to do in time i think. mainly because i want the car bk oem. just want to keep the stock look. the blue lights are ok yeah, look nice but like i said, my main dash clocks are so dim i cannot see them at night, the flickering AC unit may be down to a dry joint, other things that bother me, and AC controls and not sure if its a dry joint issue, but say i hit the button face and feet the blue light will be ok, and when i say hit the button for full face theres no light on the AC unit at all! while certain other button will flicker. but like you said im going to start picking parts up, think theyre pretty cheap.

But as above cheapest way will be to replace the clocks. Five minutes to swap over.
