j_jza80
Could be dry solder joints on the back of the dash. The two issues could also be completely unrelated. If he's selling the car with these issues, it's quite obvious that he doesn't know what the cause is, and that he's incapable of fixing it. Insist he gets it seen to by a garage that knows Supra (and I'd want some proof of this) or walk away. Even if he knocks you some money off for these issues, it is quite likely a false economy. These cars can be seriously expensive to fix!!!
GMan
You are near SRD, Pay lee to look at it before you buy, At that point you will really know if you need to walk away or how much the seller needs to come down in price. Even better you will be where you want to be to get it right.

Graham1984
Contact Lee P on here, he maybe able to give you some solid information on what you potentially "could" have to fix and a rough fixing cost. Might be best to go in armed with as much info as possible. Someone said earlier "Don't get suckered in by a shiny car and some aftermarket wheels" they are right too as a few things are biting me on my arse atm
Nic
If it's speed related it *may* be as simple as a faulty speedo convertor or possibly a faulty/removed front auto front spoiler. The seller mentions it has been worked on by Whifbitz, may be worth getting in contact with Paul (see traders section) to see if he knows the car. GMan
faulty speedo converter won't throw a code. drove my supra all the way to Germany from bristol with a defective converter and no warning lights. its either a sensor somewhere or it's serious (read expensive)
