darren0405
hi had my 3.0l auto supra for a couple of months now and noticed at the weekend when i floored it the needle went into the red and not change gear. when driving normal it seems to change gear without missing a beat just when i floored it a few times it went to the red line and i took my foot off just in case it did some damage its got 59000 miles on the clock , i dont think the gearbox has ever been serviced i take it this is a good idea and any ideas how much it would cost ? can any good garage do this or should i be looking for a supra garage somewhere to do it any advice would be great guys thanks Darren
Ross C
No idea why it would'nt be changing up at WOT but servicing isnt all that bad if you choose to go down that road. Oil needed is 6L IIRC and any garage should be able to do. The most expensive part is getting a new oil strainer from Mr T at around £65. I done mine last year and was only about £100 labour at the garage I used.
David P
Maybe a good idea to check the TPS is adjusted correctly too.
