Help with my bee r rev limiter

Think we'll just agree to disagree as this is going nowhere really. I'm pretty sure one of the biggest companys from japan didn't invent something to blow up your car lol. They really are only an issue on cars with rocker arms.

At the end of the day if the guy wants to do it give him the info how to do it but warn him what MIGHT happen.

Ok then well using a bee r limiter is going to reduce the life of the turbos so if that's what he wanted to know then there it is.

No it won't harm your turbos, exhaust manifolds reach an excess of 700degrees when on boost anyway. The explosion in the exhaust will still spin the turbos in the same direction so it's not like there quickly forced the other direction.

Swampy if that's what he wants to do why question it, just let him do it instead of trying to be-little him.

Regards mark

Do you even know what you're talking about? Plus, I made a very valid point, the man wants it to aid launches, he has an auto therefor its completely pointless in that respect.

I've got one. I'm using it to replace the OEM fuel cut when I use nos as it's a better safety device then just hoping the window code in the ecu will protect. I can't really see any other benefit to them apart from that safety measure for nitrous backfire.

I wasn't worried about my turbo. It's cheap. I was more worried about breaking the welds on my exhaust!

that's the only reason they would get damaged was if that coud happen during spark but exactly it cant!!

Or by blowing the seals, starving the turbo and ingesting tiny little bits of metal into the engine :/

You keep saying, 'just let the guy do what he wants', but this isn't a chav car site where every mod is 'sick', 'wiked', etc. we actually try and warn people to avoid doing things that actually damage a car.

Oh and along with your statement about a Japanese tuner not selling mods that damage cars, I'm guessing you probably advocate running an HKS filter aswell?

All those things you said would happen to the turbo would not happen with a bee-r rev limiter lol

Having a bee-r does not mean your a chav. I am from the drifting scene though so louder is always better when it comes to drifting as its a form of entertainment. It can be there to entertain certain circumstances but it is personal choice to using spark cut over fuel cut and the launch control feature works quite well.

All proper launch controllers use spark cut and retarded ignition timing burning even more mixture in the manifold.

I've came over here from being sxoc which is not a chav site either, we go for food meets once a month, not just meet in car parks etc

You show your age in that post lol

And we go full circle, throw it in the bin :D

Stop being horrible to him you big bully ;)

What is your first question about fitting it? I am sure we can pull together and help you.

P.S - Funny thread. All I have to say is that fuel cut on ECU's such as Syvecs are also done in the same manner as Race Logic and it can be set as per your requirements so it would be very easy to avoid 1 cylinder repeatedly left dry.

E.g. If you are worried about that just don't set 50% fuel cut on a 4 cylinder engine.
