Guest 4294r
Just had the supra remapped and results are 500bhp can't want to pick it up. Was hoping for more than 500 but does anyone here have any comments on what 500hp is like?
Al Massey
I'm 564 It's fast! Scary fast. Get some decent tyres lol
Guest 4294r
That's what I want to hear lol. It could have been more than 500 but it's only mapped on 95 Ron fuel as I can't get super where I am so I've been told 500 isn't bad. I've got 265 toyo proxies on the back but will I need wider? Guest 4294r
I'm liking these comments lol. I got the car last year but had boost issues so never got any taste of power whatsoever so I've got something to look forward to! running a gt4294r so be quite a bit of lag I'd imagine tho.... Where there's no super unleaded but not many cars here with that kind of power
thetrashcanman
Depends on the power delivery I think greatly, but yes it will feel fast if you only had 300-400 before.

I'm in Orkney. Where there's no super unleaded but not many cars here with that kind of power There's another supra up there in anthracite (1A1) iirc. There's also a couple of supra's in Shetland, when I took mine up it was crazy the attention it got!
Jord
What's the spec out of interest?
James
Isn't the 4294r an 82mm turbo or so? What boost are you at for the 500bhp? 0.6 bar or so?! Regardless, it'll still be fun and fast I'm sure I'm on a T88-34D at 1.3 bar, making 650bhp and it is great fun.
JamieP
Depends on the setup, a high reving, fast spooling 500bhp is great. A laggy turbo with a tiny powerband is not so much fun.

Guest 4294r
Well I might consider looking into running with meth next year. it's a manual. Suppose it should be fairly reliable power.

He did mention no Premium fuel. Would that matter? Maybe he wants to get used to 500HP! - - - Updated - - - Well I might consider looking into running with meth next year. it's a manual. It was mapped at Gi Motorsport in Glasgow. Don't really have a goal, just looking good bhp but also reliability. As if I need any work done its a fair trek. Guest 4294r
Not sure what the boost is yet. Not had a chance to speak to them yet. Was told that it was good power for 95 Ron with octane booster.
Luxluc
With a built 3.0 engine, you could take much more out of that turbo.
JamieP
fuel wont matter at that power mate, you can make a shed load more than that on 95. 500bhp is still a lot of power, just a big turbo to use for that, if 500hp is your goal you would be better off with a 60mm turbo.
