Possible exhaust upgrade

The trouble is that if you have a fairly un-baffled exhaust system AND take out the Cats it will be pretty loud !

I guess you really need to do one or the other . . . personally I'd choose stock spec silencers but no Cats

That's what I've got with the 2JZ-GE in my Mk3 Supra . . . no cats, but stock exhaust system

It's pretty quiet for just driving around (under 3000rpm) . . . but when you open it up there's a nice roar . . . but still not so loud that you'd attract attention from the police.

If there's room you could look at getting a 2nd silencer welded into the mid pipe, a large oval silencer should help reduce the noise level quite a bit. Jetex make some good quality reasonably priced stainless silencers http://www.jetex.co.uk/website/custom_parts.php?mat=Stainless&dia=3.0+inch

Alternatively Whifbitz do a twin silencer exhaust for the 2JZGE http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/index.php/garage-whifbitz-1448.html

I got an apexi ats in my full obx exhaust system(OBX Headers, 3 inch second decat and 3 inch cat back. it's expensive and looks strange but its the best of both worlds really. Reletively quiet around town and cruising, free flowing and LOUD when you put your foot down.
