DodgyRog
Well I have a misfire, only appeared after I had a Coolant leak from the hose at the rear of the head Found coolant in the spark plug wells 5+6, which I thought was the cause of the misfire, so I have dryed them out, cleaned off the coilpacks etc and no joy There was quite a bit of coolant all around the rear of the engine, so not sure if it could of got into anywhere else that may cause a misfire The misfire only appears when going into 2nd Turbo on full throttle, lift the throttle slightly and it goes away, full boost is set at about 1 bar on the low setting I was on I turned off the boost controller and the misfire was not as bad, but still there( I get 0.9 Bar like this) So after some searching, it seems to be generally a Coilpack issue or possibly Plugs, I pulled the 2 rear plugs and one was blacked, but it has cleared today after a drive (not boosting a lot), think it was fouled due to the misfire from the coolant Anyway, could the coolant cause the Coilpack to suddenly give up or is it more likely to be a plug Has anyone got a spare coilpack I can borrow/buy and try swapping them to see if it cures it I will look at picking up some copper plugs this week as well Anyone with a spare set of plugs for BPU or Coilpacks, please shout Edited February 23, 2014 by DodgyRog (see edit history)
Tayfun.tugra
Hi, Not sure if the coolant could have caused this but check your vsv, I has misfire under boost a few months ago and tracked it to coil pack clips and vsv.
DodgyRog
Should also say AFR's seem fine, no idle issue and no obvious sign of a misfire at Idle Really starting to wish I had not bothered getting this stupid engine in Edited February 23, 2014 by DodgyRog (see edit history)
DodgyRog
Got this all sorted now, thanks to Slutters Either it is just coincidence or the Coilpacks don't like getting sprayed in coolant Changed the Coilpacks and no more misfire
