Tommyd16
Have abit of noise from my belts or pulleys? Maybe bearings? Noise speeds up as I go faster. Sorry I can't give anymore info on it but has anyone else had a similar experience or an easy fix before I take it garage? Cheers Tom
Swampy442
You need to be more specific Im afraid, what sort of noise, what part of the belt run, left or right etc. There a few rotating things that can make a noise...
David P
Write the book, or make the film.
Scooter
Open the bonnet and spin the engine fan, does it move freely?
Guest Budz86
You could also take the aux belt off and spin each pulley by hand and have a listen, with a squirt of WD40 on any noisey or sticky ones.
Abz
Putting a video up might make it easier to explain.

Ian C
My money is on the PAS pump bearings, it seems to be the main one to go and make a whiney noise
Tommyd16
Had a poke around does seem to come from power steering pump. Anyway to fix it? Or a new pump is it?
Ian C
Chris Wilson can refurbish them for significantly less than a new one costs. Run your finger around the back of the pulley, see if you get some fine metallic dust on your fingertip. I had that when mine went, it was the bearing slowly grinding itself to dust
Tommyd16
Sounds just like a bearing wearing out. I will give him a shout.

Tommyd16
Oops already pm'd. Phone him tomorow. What sort of price does he charge?
Ian C
Reasonable. When it comes to CW, if he quotes a price, that's what it'll reasonably cost while making anough £££s to feed his emus. You might be able to get a cheaper quote, but you won't get as good a job
Marcus GTE
Did you get this sorted? I had the same thing and fitting a new belt last week completely cured it.

Cheaper than a Power steering pump ect
