Swampy442
Im making a fuel system for my car and purely for aesthetic reasons I wanted black hose with purple fittings. After hearing you get fuel smells from normal braided rubber hose (something personally Ive never experienced) Im erring towards teflon hose, which means stainless hose and normal colour fittings. So if I was to go with normal rubber hose, would something like this be any better at reducing the fuel smells? http://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/aeroquip-startlite-2444-p.asp
Chris Wilson
Neoprene lined hose may not be fuel compatible at all, ring Faye at Speedflow and ask her advice.
Lee P
You can buy Teflon line with a black coating over the braid

Chris Wilson
http://www.xrp.com download the Pro Plus brochure. Black, PTFE lined, designed to be compatible with all IC engine fuels. Before you get too excited, check prices, XRP is fantastic quality, but it is pretty costly, in my limited experience of it. JLS (James Lister) in the Midlands is a stockist of their products. Plenty of people do, but to me I like a full mechanical compression type fitting on fuel lines.
