T14PPA
Ive been offered a brand new PI3600 torque converter for £340. Only dodgy thing is it hasnt been tested. He said he bought it off a member on here and then he decided to go manual. What would you do? Any way you can check? Chris Bailey
Perfect hi stall for the street! Precision are known to be one of the better brands aswell I'd be careful though because that does sound cheap considering they are £800+ brand new! David P
Does that mean that an old used one is worth more, because it has been "tested".

mellonman
It is a good price if he brought it new then the invoice should say what stall it is, if he has that then its all good but if not it could be a silly high stall and destroy the driving experiance

Benjy
Looks identical to my 3800. If there's any fluid inside it, take a sample. If it's grey, I'd worry slightly, but clean, red fluid and it should be fine I'd have thought. Think i paid £200ish for mine iirc
T14PPA
He said its new so i assume theres no fluid in there. I might just buy it and hope lol

Think i paid £200ish for mine iirc A 2000 will look the same as a 4000 stall from the out side, Its about £250 to get fitted with fluids so could be worth a shot , but you have to be willing to be ready to rip it out at the same cost, so worst ways you are £500 out of pocket but have a complete transmission flush for that price plus you can sell it on again
