Kendo11
Anybody picked up the latest copy of this magazine yet? Features a supra with a guide on how to make an na compete with a tt according to the headline. Not got it yet but fairly sure it's a members car, Scott who had a zero media photoshoot last year? marbleapple
I've not read the article but are any of the cars budget cars? None look cheap to me!
supraGZaerotop
budget, hows the twin turbo supra a budget car lol
Kendo11
It says "can't afford a tt, don't worry there is another way" and I think goes into how to tune an na. Can someone who's read it/featured in it confirm if it just says drop a big single in it or is it actually worth a read?
Benjy
Who's running 3S-GE's in their NA's then??
listy
Iirc from when they were doing it, they wanted an na, an na-t, a tt and supercharged. So I think it goes over options of what you can do to an na. None of which is really cheap at all.
Kendo11
So it would be the Beams that would be supercharged?
Benjy
No. They're all 2JZ's, but in the mag they've mentioned going NA-T on the 3S-GE
Kendo11
Ah right
MattP
No. They're all 2JZ's, but in the mag they've mentioned going NA-T on the 3S-GE I have seen quite a few 500-550BHP claimed 3sgte conversions into a supra I have never heard of a 3sge Conversion even a beams is underpowered compared to a 2JZGE
Benjy
My point being they were calling the 2JZ's (only 2JZ powered cars in the article) 3S-GE's.
Kendo11
Plus aren't they all straight 4 2litre, so a lot smaller engine to power a much bigger car.
Kendo11
Terminology wrong then Ben?
Benjy
Yeah probably a typo
MattP
My point being they were calling the 2JZ's (only 2JZ powered cars in the article) 3S-GE's. When I see people post wanted threads for 2jz parts I die a little inside they may aswell say I bought a car with an engine I need stuff.... The same as with Mr2 the T in 3sge and 2jzge changes the conversation greatly
MattP
Plus aren't they all straight 4 2litre, so a lot smaller engine to power a much bigger car. Indeed they are they look lost in the supra so easy to work on
Pulley
The 3sge is a typo I think
