Scott
Did the US spec supras never get the facelift dash then? Didn't know that
j_jza80
Did the US spec supras never get the facelift dash then? Didn't know that They got some oddities. They got VVTi NA Supras in 1998, but never a VVTi TT. As far as I'm aware, the US was the only market to get VVTi NAs, not even the Japanese got them. j_jza80
There are a few out there that were brought in through loopholes, such as registering it as a kit car, or registering it in Canada and driving it over. The authorities got wise, and have crushed several from what I hear.
David P
Another 5 years and our Old Bessie's might go up in value by a guinea or two. Edited February 14, 2014 by David P (see edit history)
garethr
You have to remember that the US only has the LHD Supras that were officially imported and sold by Toyota - no grey imports. Limited number of cars + demand = higher prices.

j_jza80
I wonder if a yank would swap mine for a Viper? I was looking at Vipers on American eBay yesterday, they're cheaper than TT Supras! (mk1 Viper GTS)

Nope, if it was a hard top it would be worth even more. It's the other way round over there, aerotop's are very common and hard tops very rare.
