john88
Can anyone shed some light on how it's possible? I want to put some led lighting in the rear of the car to light up my back seat install. Preferably I'd like it to work along side the dome light in the front so turn that on and the rear lights up too, open the doors and it lights up. So far I've found that the light has 2 constant lives and an earth running to it, the door switch seems to work by shutting the earth off when the doors are closed thus breaking the circuit. I've tried to tap into the lives but seem to lose the earth when I do so. Has anyone done it and can you explain how? or at least explain just how the light operates? listy
Tap into a different power source, and use the door switch on the positive wire? More length of wiring, but should work no problem with the same effect.
john88
Thanks listy, I'll give that a try. I was trying to avoid the door latches as I had a nightmare with them after rebuilding the car originally. If anyone else has any ideas or has done it the more options the better....
