inazone
Come on guys, stop teasing us, what's this modern box that may be compatible? Are we talking 7 or 8 speed auto?

markssupra
All depends on price at the moment, would love to put the IS-F 8 speed in Stop it!!! I've stopped counting how much I'm spending As our chat at Bluewater Friday Lee, the S6 loom adapter already has the connector for the I/O expander to run the paddles? So if I ordered the S6 adapter loom from you, all you will need to do is install the paddles and I/O box? I might change the steering wheel, I assume a pre-facelift or facelift wheel would be fine. Will my existing cruise control stalk get in the way?
a98pmalcolm
Awesome. Would love to see this with full on action.. High boost ect..
Lee P
You know you want an 8 speed box!!! Not sure on the cruise control tbh, will have to see when its here. Will still be able to do it though. The Expander is needed to run the auto box so with the loom you can plug it all nix The paddles can be added after Stop it!!! David P
You know you want an 8 speed box!!! If you program the Syvecs to sequence: 1 ~ 1+OD ~ 2 ~ 2+OD ~ 3 ~ 3+OD, you'd have 6-speed Flappy-Paddle and/or 2 program Auto transmission. tony tt
Would the car need mapped again with this fitted or would just be fitting and drive away if the car is already fitted with Syvecs Lee?
Pudsey
Just seen this. Sounds excellent, especially the idea of fitting a more modern box with more gears. I assume the kick down on the vvti into third at speed would also be solved. I was thinking of adding an aftermarket steering wheel to extend the hub being tall, and was wondering about issues with the vvti tip steering gear change controls. I was looing at the flip up wheels for access, but have never seen one fitted. Great to know options are now available - top work indeed. Certainly watching with interest. Won't need mapping again but any tweaks to the gearbox control we could do
