Si_s Supe
Picked up my new-to-me Supra at the weekend. It's a real tidy N/A auto. I'd love to fit cruise control to it, but not sure if the N/A's ever came from the factory with it? If they did, could I retro fit it and what would I need to source if I could? ScottC
You will need a steering wheel with cruise control, a cruise control motor complete with NA throttle cable, and a 4 pinned brake switch. You will need to check you have the following on your car A large grey multipinned plug on the inner offside wing near the brake reservoir. That the plug, that plugs into your brake light switch has 4 wires (don't assume your current brake light switch has four pins just because the plug has four wires) Edited February 3, 2014 by ScottC (see edit history)
supra steveo
I would like it on my TT6 too , ive just had it installed on my new A4 black edition

I'll check it all out. Steveo, it's a small thing that makes all the difference! I use it ALL the time on my S60 D5. Would be a great addition to the Supra! Si_s Supe
Thanks. Out of interest, where would that motor be mounted? In the cabin or engine bay??

Samsar
My Purple one has got it fitted, but my black one hasn't. Must've been spec'd that way when it was new.
GMan
I would love to have cruise control but it seems like too much agro / things that can go wrong to make me consider retrofitting it. What about this Edited February 3, 2014 by GMan (see edit history)
wile e coyote
I looked at one of those rostra ones, they seem to make cruise control for manufactures so should be good I'm really after as near to standard so put it on the back burner
ScottC
Oops, forgot to mention you will need a jspec or uk spec cruise control ecu

Oops, forgot to mention you will need a jspec or uk spec cruise control ecu But Scott's list of things keeps growing! I may buy one of these rostra one's and let everyone know how it works out
Si_s Supe
I'd rather the OEM version too, but could be interested in the Rostra one as a backup. So this ECU you're talking about Scott, is that a separate ECU that controls the Cruise Control, or is it the main ECU that has Cruise built into it?
ScottC
It's a separate ecu. It's all plug and play. Once you've done one you could have it all fitted in 20 minutes
LOGIE
Does anyone know the part number for the 4 pin brake switch? I have everything else. What I will say is I initially bought a cruise actuator and I was told it would fit NA and TT sadly it doesn't fit the TT as it sits where the ABS relay box is. I then bought another actuator which is for a TT and it does fit on the other side of the suspension turret.
LOGIE
Ill post pics of both tomorrow if it helps
Si_s Supe
Great, the more info the better please! Any ideas on rough cost for me to collect these parts up?

LOGIE
Approx £40 for an actuator. I bought a uk spec cruise control ecu off ebay breaker for £50 I think.
j_jza80
I didn't realise that cruise was an option on NAs? I've only ever seen it on GZs and UK / Euro / US spec TTs.
Shane
Ask David P, I am pretty sure he retro fitted cruise to his NA.
TT Paul
and the jspec cruise ecu is speed limited around 68mph would need uk one for higher speeds if going oem
LOGIE
I was mistaken on my previous posy about the way it was mounted. The partnumbers are different however. 88002-14040 is NA 88002-14030 is TT
LOGIE
Prob just down to cable length
Nodalmighty
I have a complete NA Cruise Control setup. Still on my race car as the moment. Put your finger in the air who ever wants it. Lyndon.
