Clunky gearbox since mount changed!

More advice needed please! We replaced the gearbox mount in my 6speed NA at the weekend with a TRD one from Whifbitz. It was a bit fiddly getting to a couple of the bolts but we managed to replace the mount without any major issues. The old mount was really soft and flexible and the new one is very firm so I was hoping that the knocking noise from under the car I sometimes get when coming off the accelerator would be fixed.

I only got a chance to test drive the car today and although it feels a lot stiffer and the knocking seems to have gone, the noise from the gearbox itself seems much more loud! The gearbox was always a bit clunky (as I have heard 6 speeds often are) but now it is much more so - I'm hoping it's just because everything's tightened up and there's less 'give', so it's more clunky. I can't imagine that we could have done anything to damage the box just by changing the mount, could we??

It drives fine and goes into gear without any problems, just clunky!

I'd appreciate any thoughts... Thanks.

Cheers guys! I thought that was probably the case! It would be nice if there was a warning to this effect on the product description, though, don't fancy forking out another £100 for an OEM one! Just spoke to Whifbitz and they also confirmed this was likely to be the cause. I'll just have to turn up the ol' stereo and drown it out ;)
