jjs_82
Hi all as the title says need new brakes soon. The discs on my car are grooved and I think they are the 3g ones. Was thinking about getting the ebc grooved and dimpled discs all round with yellow stuff pads, and would like peoples opinions on them. Can you still get the 3g discs to buy?? Dnk
I wouldn't bother and just fit o/e with CW's pads
Bossco
I don't rate EBC stuff at all. I'd stay stock over EBC anyday. I've heard good things about DBA discs, I'll be trying them when my current 3Gs are worn out.
Eldon02
I've always run yellow EBC's pads on my previous cars (even a defender 90) and now have them on my na supra and I wouldn't swap them for anything else, they last a fair while to! But then it's down to personal choice
jjs_82
Can the 3g discs be got anymore? If so were
Dnk
Aren't the 3g discs crazy money, i doubt they're worth the extra even if they're still available, you'll be hard pushed to beat the o/e discs in price and performance
Fly
As said go with OE discs and CW fast road pads

Dnk
Proparts in Dublin should have them http://www.pro-parts.ie/products.asp?id=66 Like i thought, over £700 !! I'll be sticking with o/e as they're more than up to the job of stopping a mkiv and less than half the price.

Just asked Eamon who works in proparts, 500 euro for front and rear 3g disc's Front set are around 300 euro mark
Dnk
Still way too much for me, if the o/e brakes/discs were no good then fair enough but they are more than up to the job, especially if its only rd use. Didn't i read on here that 3g discs had problems with cracking ?

jjs_82
What about the disc brakes australia (DBA) 4000 t3. Has anyone got them
Swampy442
You asked for brake advice, you got it but hey, its your money, just get stock discs and Chris Wilson pads. You will get no benefits whatsoever from grooved discs apart from more noise and dust.
pedrosixfour
What about the disc brakes australia (DBA) 4000 t3. Has anyone got them A couple of us, Pig & myself definitely, are running these. Personally I can't say much about them as I've only done two track days with them since fitting and neither was particularly dry, but they're all still in one piece and they certainly didn't feel any worse than the 3G disks I was running prior. I got mine from these guys: http://www.clarkmotorsport.co.uk/website/webshop/productsSearch.asp?searchBrand=DBA
