Jord
So I know this has been covered quite a few times but I wanted to double check before I go and spend some money I might not need to. Advice from any BPU UK spec owners would be appreciated. On my quest for BPU I've just been doing a few searches and discovered that the UK spec fuel pump is better in a fair few ways compared to the Walbro 255. Such as better flow, longer life span and quieter. My first question is, is this correct and I should stick with the UK spec fuel pump at BPU? Secondly, if the UK spec fuel pump is better, would it be worth buying a brand new part (Denso?) from Toyota? As mine is getting on a bit. Lastly, where would be the best place to buy a UK spec one one without breaking the bank? Cheers guys.
Big Supes
Don't need to change it for BPU on UK specs. If you want to replace the original, Toyota is your friend.
Nic
Yes the uk pump flows slightly more (I *think*from memory 260Lt/hr) and is quieter, a Walbro 255 pump will be cheaper if you do want to fit a new one and flows enough to run a moderately sized single turbo. The UK/J spec pump fitment is different in the hanger you would need Walbro part number GSS341 to fit a uk spec.
Iky
Im looking to get a new fuel pump myself for bpu. After a bit of research im thinking about buying a HRC fuel pump. Quieter than walbro and comes with 2 year warranty unlike the 1 year you get with a walbro. Also "apparantly" the pump is made by nippon denso who as you know make the stock ones. More research is needed on the matter before i spend money. The HRC ones are much cheaper as well.
