alex341
Hi all, I'm fairly new to the supra world and bought my first one around 8 months ago. It started out as a BPU TT6 and after only 2 months I gave into temptation and decided to go single. So I pulled it off the road and began tinkering... I am almost at the end of the build and the car is going off to whifbitz to get all the finishing touches sorted before mapping. Being my first supra and not having had a go in a single turbo supra yet I am itching to find out how much power it will make. I understand the proof is in the pudding and there are many variables that will affect the end figure but I'm just curious as to what I can expect. This is a brief spec of what it has: stock engine stock inlet borg warner s366 Turbosmart external wastegate whifbitz 264's whifbitz cam pulleys greddy aux pulleys ansu 1000 cc injectors whifbitz fuel rail fuelab fpr walbro 450 fuel pump hks f-con gold with knock amp greddy fmic greddy profec spec 2 blitz nurspec exhaust Any ideas??? tony tt
600+ anyway all depends on the mapper and how far they are willing to push it.
tooquicktostop
At 1.7 bar should be making 650ish flywheel horsepower The car will feel amazing if its your first single turbo, good luck
thetrashcanman
That will be an awesome car mate, enjoy and I believe Deans car (above) has the same turbo as yours and made around 650bhp so like he said 650 at the flywheel would be about right
Chris Bailey
Good spec Add a syvecs and it will make an even better setup

I've researched and everyone has a different opinion
alex341
Good spec Add a syvecs and it will make an even better setup I wanted a syvecs but they are out of my budget atm. Plus from what I've read the f-con is pretty good bang for your buck when paired up with a knock amp sensor???
Chris Bailey
How much boost is safe on standard internals? I've researched and everyone has a different opinion I'd personally say 700bhp, but some have made more and lasted.

Great piece of kit for the money!
tony tt
It's nearly the same spec as mine will be running only with Syvecs. I'm Auto though so I'll be capped under 600 for now. That will be some car when you have it finished mate. Good luck.
alex341
Thanks guys. I can't wait to drive it although I'm still a little confused about grip as the std traction control is junk and best turned off.

Boostlogic traction control is highly recomended
Steve Paine
Oem engine and gearbox are ok for 600 BHP. I would stick with that for a while until you get use to the power delivery. It may be that you don't want/ feel comfortable with any more!
jay200bhp
Boostlogic traction control is highly recomended good tyres first.then a racelogic tc
Nic
Good spec Add a syvecs and it will make an even better setup Huh? He is already using a very competent standalone ECU developed by one of Japan's biggest tuners
listy
Are you sending it to Whifbitz in London, or waiting for Pauls new Whifbitz shop to open in Caldicot?

He is already using a very competent standalone ECU developed by one of Japan's biggest tuners I have to agree with Young Bailey, the HKS is great the syvecs is just that much better, with all the features and especially the others that Ryan etc are developing, just an example but the paddle shift on autos is really rather
Gaz6002
Thats correct I'd say its the second best ecu out there. Great piece of kit for the money! There are loads of ECUs out there that'll handle everything you need. What makes the likes of Motec sub-standard for Supras but OK for top-level motorsport?
