LOGIE
Ok mild exaggeration wasn't too bad. Ive been doing my build for months and today I finally took it for a spin only a small run around my local area whilst keeping an eye on warning lights etc. Everything was going fine and I was about 5 miles from the house and slight rain came on so I turned the wipers on....Nothing happened. Rear wiper was fine no fronts Aahhhhh. So thought id get home a little quicker going down the last long straight approx 2 miles from the house and I gave it a bit of throttle all going well turbo was spooling nicely 4k and the second turbo kicked in and BANG!! Straight away I knew it was an intercooler pipe. So looks like im going to be busy next weekend fault finding wipers and fixing my pipework. I will get a decent run in my car yet. GMan
oh I was expecting the worst! Glad you and the car are ok. IC pipe is easy. wipers might be harder.
Guigsy
Happened to me once. Limped it home. Luckily it was only 400ft or so. Belched black smoke when you reved it. My wipers would blow the fuse too ended up replacing the motor which fixed it
LOGIE
I had the wipers off when I changed the engine bay loom as I had to remove the scuttle panel at the bottom of the windscreen. Can the wipers be screwed on too tight? I'll check the fuse in the daylight but I dont think its a fuse issue, I looked at all of them this week. I need to find some good mikalor clamps for the pipework.
