berg
Hi guys With regards to the rear crank seal, is it a simple case of a push fit seal thats easy to take out and the new one just pushes in (bit like camshaft seal)? Mine is leaking by the looks of it, the car had a very very bad rocker leak when i bought it which is why i suspected there was oil all over and inside the gearbox when we had it off whilst doing the na-t build, but i was under the car yesterday and there is fresh wet oil all over the box again and looks to be leaking from inside so im suspecting rear crank seal now. Ontop of that my spec stage 3 clutch has been making a strange noise whenever you pull off or realease the clutch slowly, only time i dont hear it is when giving it some beans Can hear the noise at the start of this video as i pull away from the traffic lights, its alot louder in the flesh though and is always when the clutch is engaging http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMvaYyX4y_4
LOGIE
Yep it simple. You can just push it in but I removed the seal housing changed the seal and then renewed the silicone sealant around the housing.
