Mid_lifecry_sis
I found out last week that I was running only TURBO 1. Friday this was fixed with a vacume pipe reattachment. Sh*t the car is 600cc bike beater. 2 MINUTES FROM HOME. it died on me. Error 13 and 41. Before she dies once out of safe mode via a reboot, the rev needle goes a little loopy and then the warning Triangle and engine light appears and the engines cuts. Why for three months has she been OK and now appars following the No 2 T does this happen? heard of this before? Is this coinsidence? Any bright ideas? Don't care how much. Just missed a sunny weekend where bikes deserve a thrashing and my car is dead. PS: Sounds a little tinny or metalic from engine,,,,, maybe - could just be me. Going to put her back in to shop for fix but don't wanna be stung and want to understand some of the feed back. Really appreciate all the thoughts and help here. michel lane
if the car is a jap spec version , then it looks like no 2 turbo is broken , its time to get some steel turbos . get then reworked for steel blades like the uk spec versions. Mid_lifecry_sis
Error 13 and 41 do not relate to a down T2? Why do you suggest this mate?
michel lane
an instance where my friends jap spec did a simular thing, it turned out the imprellar shattered through running it on 1.25 bar for long periods. i may be wrong about this , but he replaced both turbos for standard uk spec ones, which were likely not to explode again. Iam no expert , you best off asking leon or some other expert on the board. ask me about computers ill some ideas there
matt
Check your Throttle position sensor connection .. You have checked the error codes in the resources section ? 41 is TPS 13 is ECU not receiving a signal ... check earths and all underbonnet connections Could well have blown an IC pipe off with the new boost levels . Check these first, before booking it in.....
Mid_lifecry_sis
T2 isn't making a noise mate. But thanks. Looking at replacements anyhow... Jap TT. nO.... 13 and 41 are the ECU codes. Now where do I go.
Mid_lifecry_sis
Cheers for the error code advice mate, will check under the bonnet. Shame this web site dosen't have a garage somewhere for members! 140 sup's on this site alone at £100 per annum say, membership plus reduced fee's for breakdown - nice bit on the side! Link this bodyshop and body kits, plus tuning !!!!!!! Cheers for a FAB site!
