chris0132
I remember seeing a Nissan skyline r32 once for sale in Ireland with I shit you not a 1.3 micra engine fitted so you could do that lmao wouldn't be any good mind haha
Swampy442
Im more intrigued as to what engine you plan to put in it, care to enlighten us? Im sure no insurance company will touch you on a modified car, let alone one with an engine swap regardless of size. So what will it be, a 4A GE from a Corolla, lugging 1.7 tons about? Jord
Keep up the enthusiasm and don't give up the dream. I always wanted a supra since seeing the first fast and furious film and I think I was 12 when it came out. Now at 24 I finally have one. You'll be hard pushed to get insured on one much sooner though. Best advice is stick with something cheap and 1 litre for your first car, there's no shame in it. Build up your no claims and work on a supra as a project until you can afford not only to insure it, but the running costs.

charlton
I've been quoted for £500 on my civic which is 1.5 lsi with mods declared from a new drivers specialist insurer Who is this quote with? I doubt I'd get a quote for a standard Civic much cheaper than that! My first car was a 1.1 D reg Fiesta insured TPFT back in 2002 and it cost me £1200 - I even declared it was beige so it was no risk of being stolen... LOGIE
When it comes to insurance you really need to get lots of quotes and play the insurance companies off against each other. Im 38 with 8 years NCB with an NA-TT got insured at £350 fully comp with my wife as a named driver. Keep phoning about and ask them how to get your quotes lowered.
