Matsi
Hi, I'm trying to fit an aftermarket steering wheel but the boss won't go on because there is a plug thing in the way, do you take it off? Off so how? The steering wheel was a standard 3 spoke with no airbag Thanks
Josh
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?269339-Steering-wheel-replacement I had the same problem. Edit: I thought that thread showed how I sorted it. I got a boss from Driftworks for about £50 that works with the airbag connector and the cruise control function that's now been deleted Edited January 24, 2014 by Josh (see edit history)

Josh
I don't understand, I don't have an airbag haha, I sold that boss to Rich2211 on here as he has a non airbag Supra and it didn't fit on his either as there was that connector there. The boss I had was apparently off a Supra before, but there's no guarantee. If your connector looks like mine in the picture on that thread, you may be best getting a new boss that will fit. When I bought mine from Driftworks I went to meet my mate that works there and it was an HKB boss I bought. They had 3 different models for non airbag, airbag and airbag with cruise control. They all looked pretty much the same, and all had the cutout to go over that connector.

Josh
I sorted it, I just cut abit of the boss off and it fits now haha Lol, I was going to try that on the one I had, but it looked like more hassle than it was worth. Hope it all goes ok for you
