Guest pwings18
Yes but this way odometer ll still run in kms. if you want odo to run in miles wiring is not good.
Tommyd16
Kms for miles is fine. Means it will always be in km so easy to work out.
Guest Roger NE
Aha - is that why the Main ECU requires a Speed Signal on the Pink wire - so it can LIMIT the top speed? Originally I left this wire disconnected when fitting a 2JZ-GE in my Mk 3 . . . but kept getting an Engine Fault Light (and Fault Code said no speed signal) So what speed is a JDM 2JZ-GE normally limited at? I don't think Speed Limiting will be a problem, as the signal I have fed from the Mk3 dash is MUCH slower pulses . . . but it keeps the ECU from showing an error (and apologies for hi-jacking your thread!) Guest pwings18
Like all jdm engines I presume : 180km/h
Guest Roger NE
So presumably, if you guys fit a 8:5 downscaler to make the Speedometer read in MPH, and fed THAT signal to the main ECU too, it would just limit the top speed to 180 mph?
