It is conceivable that the price of low mileage, unmodified cars will surpass big budget singles within the next few years.

Numbers are dwindling now too, there is probably around half the number of Supras for sale on the main Japanese sales sites that there were 5 years ago.

Out of interest Jurgen, what sort of cars are you seeing up for sale in JPN? Are they stock, lightly modded or just straight crazy! Which ones seem more popular? I've noticed here that there aren't many stock TT6's about, they all seem to be modified in some way, but most buyers seem to be looking for stock.

all sorts of cars stock, crazy modded ones..

am buying a lot of skylines at moment

How much are GZ Aerotops going for :sly:

Stock ones are going to be worth a premium soon, they're very rare. There's going to be be damand for these cars in a few years, when the US market opens up to them. I would guess that there's more RHD Supras in the UK than any other country outside Japan, so the sudden demand should have a big impact here.

j

Will this be '93 cars only, or all MKIV Supras?
the law is based on year of manufacture so 93's in 2018, 94's in 2019 etc. The law also states that the car must be totally unmodified!

I would predict a drop in US values, and a rise in UK / J-spec values.

spot on.

a us 94 na auto goes for about 9k usd that will drop but not by much as they will be able to add the price of shipping for one in the uk and stil offer a lhd car

so if an na auto goes for 3k GBP it is around 4.5 k USD shipping will be at least 2K +customs and tax and thus the final price will be 8.5-9K
