a98pmalcolm
Ok so today was the 1st time I ran the strip at POD. In 1st and 2nd gear I just had no grip at all. Loosing seconds. I tried High Boost setting, Launch Control (had the best time in that mode) and with different traction control settings and different throttle techniques, Best I got was a 14.11 @ 116mph and I didn't see anyone else do that time, most probably due to grip. I'm 680bhp and I'm returning to POD in September hoping for better grip to put me in the 11's. Any recommendations on good gripping types for everyday use.. (19") and best settings on my launch. I'm running syvecs with the Toucan Touch Screen Display and the 1 - 8 traction control knob. bignum
You`d have gone faster by kicking your pal out half way up the strip:D
Josh
Shame about the traction issues, but it sounds damn good You`d have gone faster by kicking your pal out half way up the strip Or stick him in the boot for extra traction
Graham1984
Or stick him in the boot for extra traction Surely as long as he is wearing a helmet in the boot I couldn't see an issue with this.

Rich.2211
Hi Malcolm, I watched a few of your runs today and was in awe at how stunning your car is! Unfortunately I didn't see you to introduce myself.

skippyboyo1
Oi I run 14s haha Fair play I bet it was well slippy! Axle
I take it you didn't show him your helmets in the end?
Abz
You don't admit to 14's mate Especially not with 680bhp!! If it helps, I was nearly in the 14's with my Type R & dead clutch...
jcbt
Setting 4 on traction control when slippy and 1 when traction good I have found Pirelli pzero silvers a good all round tyre on 19's
little num
in my old uk with stock twins running 1.4 with spare wheel in and normal road car I managed a 12.9, and was beating most single turbo's including bignum on several attemps. jcbt
My last time out at pod I ran 12 dead at 126 mph on normal road tyres so you should easily do 11's in right conditions and a good 60 ft
Gpro
i got 13.1 on TT auto on 0.8bar! Personally i would hold first gear a bit longer before going in to 2nd. (Give it a go next time)
a98pmalcolm
haha you lot are a nightmare. I thought the car was gunna go sideways at points.. I don't mind admitting that theres not alot I could do.. As I said I didn't see anyone beat a 14 today.. The track was a 3 hour late opening for them trying to prep it as it was to bad.. Yer I'm sure the summer it will be better. Thanks Rich. I saw quite a few supes from the owners club there. Say Hi next time I'm far to shy to do it lol
Guigsy
bad time of year. too much right foot. not enough tyre. those are probably your problems 300bhp more than my bpu car all wasted because it was just spinning it all away. you need sidewall for more give in the tyre. and low pressure to give it more flex to grip better. 19s with rubber band tyres just dont have that. the same reason they dont ride or handle very well. so even in summer you might not get further
