Fizzy T
Hi there, After fitting my FMIC and removing all my active spoiler gear I have a couple of issues, My heater was fine for a week or so but now it only blows cold...sometimes it gets a little warm but then dissipates Probably a thermostat or heater matrix? Also my cruise control has stopped working, still switches on the light on the dash it just doesn't hold speed or anything else. I'd take a guess the motor has had it. Any advice? Branners
When you take out the active spoiler the MIL light on the dash stays on. While that light is on the cruise wont work. Even if you blow a brake light bulb it comes on and the cruise stops working. Have you taken out the active spoiler ECU from behind the dash? Dnk
With regard to the heater Check the rod on the control flap hasn't come off, passenger footwell, also check footwell for coolant, wet carpet. Check the expansion tank is at the correct level, if its very low or even empty you will have air in the cooling system, first thing to replace if that is the case is the rad cap unless its been done. Check it when the engine is cold Edited January 18, 2014 by Dnk (see edit history)
Fizzy T
The heater has started working again now, odd one. Maybe the heater matrix / thermostat is just showing the early signs of imminent death. Yes I have removed the active spoiler and the active spoiler control module from behind the center console. Any idea how to switch it off?
