T14PPA
Hi i fitted my speed converter and the speed isnt smooth operating. Its very wobbly and doesnt look very accurate. Have you any ideas why?
T14PPA
Could it be a dodgy speedo or a dodgy ecu signal connection
LOGIE
Were all the contacts cleaned when you attached the wires to the back of the speedo? Im assuming its the same type from my thread a few weeks ago? Was the speedo accurate and still/non wavering before you fit it? (just eliminating speed sensor on gearbox) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?301340-Strange-speedo-converter Edited January 12, 2014 by LOGIE (see edit history)
T14PPA
Yes its pretty much the same as that mate. It was doing the same thing with the cheap speed converter. If it was the speed sensor wouldnt the speedo stop working? Because it works but its very wavey and it just goes up and down around the speed

I had a rav4 that had a wavvy needle. After I changed the speed sensor in the gearbox it was perfect.

LOGIE
Check speed sensor connector on gearbox/autobox first. Are you manual or auto. If auto I think michel lane has a speed sensor for sale
