scott87
I am considering buying a tt sump rather than drilling mine, but am still left with the issue of needing assistance changing the sumps over as i dont have a drive, i'd imagine we could do the work on my road as it is far less of a job than drilling the sump however. Basically looking for someone to come and lend a hand, bring some spare tools, i do have quite a few. Also got jacks, axle stands, old-school metal drive on ramp things. Anyone that could help that would be great. Looking to do the work asap as i need to get an na part off my car and posted out to another member. Thanks
GMan
don't you have to drop the front subframe to change the sump? Seems a bit much to do on a road on jackstands. The police in Germany would fine you heavily if you tried it on a public road here. I'm assuming UK is a bit more Forgiving about it? listy
Do you realise how much of a job it is to change the upper sump? The whole sub frame needs to be dropped to get it off and out. It's a pretty big job. I wouldn't fancy doing it on the road. I've done it twice now, but had it on a 4 post ramp. I couldn't imagine doing it on stands. It would be a right pita. Personally, I'd try and get it on a proper ramp. Drilling the sump in situe would probably be easier.

Ive been told by a few people that the subframe just needs to be loostened and then the sump can be 'slid' out. If this is not the case i will revert to my original plane of having the sump i have drilled.
