Guest Roger NE
Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone on here who has helped with advice and the various parts I needed over the past few months to carry out this project Having everything ready, did the engine swap in just one day . . . and another day finishing the wiring up. Really pleased that everything works as it should (Power Steering, inc Idle Up, Heater, Aircon, ABS, Cruise Control, and all Dashboard gauges inc Oil Pressure, Temperature, Rev Counter, etc etc) . . delighted that I managed to suss out all the electronics correctly, and don't have ANY Fault Codes ! But I'm particularly pleased that I managed to make it all look pretty much like a factory-fitted engine ! http://www.wessexprod.demon.co.uk/supra2jz/2jzengine1.jpg Edited January 9, 2014 by Roger NE (see edit history)
Tsia
Looks good! It was my mum's MK3 that made me want a Supra as I was growing up (The amazing dials, seats etc.) although now I'm old enough to have one, I'm a MKIV-er. One day... safcdixon
Nicely done hows it drive compared too the old engine?
Al Massey
If I remember rightly there are two screws that can be adjusted. And also the butterfly can be adjusted too.

Guest Roger NE
hows it drive compared too the old engine? Considering it's a very similar engine, quite different . . still getting used to it really (haven't really been able to open it up, as the roads are pretty greasy at the moment) One thing I'm really surprised at is how much LOUDER it is, considering I have the same Stock Catless exhaust on it as with my old engine. I just got the twin downpipes cut and welded to the 2JZ twin downpipes, where they normally go into the Cat. Hope my flywheel bolt came in useful Absolutely ! Thank you . . LOGIE
Being a former mk3er myself both GE and GTE I bet that has a great feel out on the road. I do miss my mkIIIs. Well done mate. Enjoy
Guest Roger NE
Thanks guys ! Ahhhh you binned the 7M GE then! Had the head gasket gone by any chance? No . . . but had the car 14 years, and had a complete new 7M-GE engine 8 years ago. So although it was still running, decided a 2JZ-GE was the best bet to keep the car going for another 10 years as they are SO much more reliable ! (7M engines not only blow Head Gaskets at the drop of a hat, big ends go regularly too) Edited January 10, 2014 by Roger NE (see edit history)
Guest Roger NE
I spy with my little eye, a future NA-T Noooooooo ! garethr
I followed your thread on the Mk3 forum where this all began. Glad to see that all the research and planning ended up with a successful 2-day conversion. Very impressive!
Swampy442
Congrats on getting it sorted One point, that manifold looks really close the the strut brace, have you driven it yet? It might hit when the engine moves.

No it doesn't touch it, as the engine is quite solid on its mounts
