Bypassing tb and iacv coolant lines

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I've done a bit of searching, but can't find a definitive answer.

I'm currently replacing the inlet manifold, and I'm considering deleting the coolant feeds to the throttle body and iacv.

I was planning on running a new coolant hose from the front of the head (just under the inlet cam) to the return line around the back of the engine, against the firewall.

I'm not worried about the throttle body, but could deleting the feeds from the iacv cause any issues?

hi mate

i cut my throttle body and iacv pipes off.

i just want to make sure im right here and i havent missed anything but no other water pipes will be on that side apart from the ones for the oil cooler from the thick metal pipe and into the block. and then the new pipe that i fit from the front of the head by the cam pulleys and that goes to the rear of the engine onto the little pipe that comes off from the thick pipe.

nothing else is cooled in that area is it ? and no other water inlets/outlets?
