Kazuma
Hey, I purchased from Toyota a new Supra logo for my car. I've removed the old one but some of the adhesive still remains. Can anyone suggest something to remove it? I've tried with a plastic spatula and my finger nail but it's quite touch and there is a fair bit! kitch79
If your referring to that... I used windowlene! And a plastic ice scrapper. Alcohol would work too, but why waste that ha.
jamesmark
A blowtorch should sort it out There are several products that can do this, or hair-dryer gently heating it. Soap and water and loads of time.
Kazuma
OK - I'll give those a try! Thanks guys.

Havard
Me too. Finger nails scratch paint aswell. You can get adhesive removers from sticker companies etc.
safcdixon
I used vinegar on our mini a while back worked great it softened it enough so it just rubbed off with some t cut
Nic
A hair drier should soften it enough so you ca scrape off or you could use white spirit which will soften the glue without effecting the paint.
jcbt
Try using tar spot remover it generally works
Chris Bailey
Tar & Glue remover - I use this at work to remove the glue left over from the ambulance stickers. Spray it on and allow it to soak in for 30 seconds! Use a plastic scraper to help protect the paint. The last thing you want is to scratch the paint using a metal scraper. After the glue is removed it helps to apply a thin layer of polish to clean the area before applying the new badge. It works a treat Edited January 8, 2014 by Chris Bailey (see edit history)
Stonkin
As Chris says, tar and glue remover left to soak for a few mins then gently scrape it off. Perhaps a quick polish of the area before reapplying the new one
pedrosixfour
Wire brush & Dettol. Good for a sore throat too.
drift_bear
I use a tin of sticky stuff remover, can get it from halfords! Used that to get the residue off the car after taking the wrap off
Kaan W
There's a proper tool for this, ive used mine several times and it works wonders in no time whilst keeping the paint work unharmed. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290544377271?redirect=mobile

Big Mark
I've got this stuff at home and it's briliiant at removing removing all kinds of stuff. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AutoSmart-1-Litre-Tardis-Tar-glue-remover-Car-Care-Cleaning-Valet-Quickly-Dis-/201016431159 I've used this stuff lots including removal the glue residue from a sign written van and even the glue off my Supras dash where tweaters and a DAB aeriel were glued to my dash without any issues. For more stubborn glue leave it soak it for a bit and then go over it again.

Agreed, this stuff does what it says on the tin and as Mark says just soak remove and re soak, you only need a bit of cloth to wipe the dissolved glue off the panel You don't need scrapers or anything else

Mk4Gaz
I use rubbing alcohol or bodyshop panel wipes, either work great. Wd40 is also very good at removing sticky stuff, but you'll need to wash the panel thoroughly to get the new badge to stick
