None of the pictures working for me?

I will try to resolve this

Looks like the inline images use the mkiv.co.uk domain instead of the mkivsupra.net domain, so needs an additional log in.

The images are attached to the posts as well though.

Looking good Moo!

This sounds correct, login is required.

Also, thanks :)

Yeah, I had to open them in a new tab too then sign in to the MKIV.com domain.

Clearance to coilovers, and both adjustable arms (Camber/Toe) are fine. The wheel will fail on the chassis before the coilovers with the offset i am running.

Will update this later today. Stay tuned !

Amazing build Moo! It's been big inspiration on my own project.

I wondered what you did to address the clearance issue to the chassis mentioned in post #180? You dropped the ride height more later on in the thread than what it was at this point, so I'm curious if this is still an issue?

Thanks for the kind words - I'm flattered to hear this build is inspiring people.

As for the rear wheel clearance to the suspension/chassis, I have not had to modify anything just used CCW's custom work to ensure everything clears. If I was to go with wider rear wheels I would need to modify the chassis in places before the wheels foul on the suspension. Remember the rear arches on this car are wider, so I had more room to play with from the beginning hence the 13J's

I really need to update this thread as a lot of progress has been made!

Yoh man this is insane work. Congrats and keep it up. Was looking forward to see you mounting the fuel cap but thats noob but you have wide rear fenders and so does mine but I for the life of me cant figure out mine. Think they hit a mess up with the shape of the fender or the flap for the tank.

Many thanks for the kind words - I really need to update this thread. (Which I will be doing very soon).

As for the Nur spec wide arches and fuel filler cap, when I purchased the rolling chassis from James it was already fitted. Which is one of the reasons that I really wanted to buy the project!

UPDATE: It been a while since I updated this thread, so here goes;

Takata's six-point belts arrived in the iconic green

attachment.php?attachmentid=223442&stc=1&d=1509795589

The rear half cage is also going to be adapted to allow for the harnesses - But that's for another day

attachment.php?attachmentid=223446&stc=1&d=1509795634

Something like this

attachment.php?attachmentid=223447&stc=1&d=1509795634

Then I set about changing the aero-top roof seals. When I purchased the car from James we also did a deal on some brand new roof seals he had.

So out with the old

attachment.php?attachmentid=223448&stc=1&d=1509795634

attachment.php?attachmentid=223449&stc=1&d=1509795634

Everything was cleaned before offering up the new

attachment.php?attachmentid=223450&stc=1&d=1509795672

attachment.php?attachmentid=223452&stc=1&d=1509795672

attachment.php?attachmentid=223451&stc=1&d=1509795672

And the roof back on

attachment.php?attachmentid=223453&stc=1&d=1509795672

The interior roof, lining was also retrimmed in black

attachment.php?attachmentid=223454&stc=1&d=1509795710

And I changed the sun visors from the horrid grey to the nicer black leather. All the internal covers, like the interior light, were also sprayed black to match.

attachment.php?attachmentid=223455&stc=1&d=1509795710

I also completely removed the front wipers and reconditioned them. New wiper blades too.

UPDATE: You will probably have seen that in the above photos the car was getting quite dusty.

A few days after the roof seals were installed and fully cured, I decided to push the car out and give it a quick bath

attachment.php?attachmentid=223457&stc=1&d=1509796624

attachment.php?attachmentid=223458&stc=1&d=1509796624

It was quite a windy day so I put the kettle on and when I returned most of the dust had been blown off

attachment.php?attachmentid=223459&stc=1&d=1509796624

Then I hosed everything down and checked for leaks - We're all good!

I'm so happy with my CCW's

Happy New Year All!

Apologies for the slow stream of updates - More to come soon. I've been busy developing a 2JZ air conditioning delete kit

If anyone is interested in a complete kit let me know - Im looking at trying to offer a group buy or a hobbyist on the forum depending on interest.

As above, if anyone is after a '2JZ Air Conditioning Delete Kit' I now have these ready to go.

I've' tried to speak to several different admins/moderators etc. on this forum about a group buy or hobbyist but no one seems to respond!

A search on a popular auction site (ebay) is currently where you can find these.

The above pictures are of the development part. The final kit now uses new bolts which do not require the two spacers on the block side - For an even cleaner look!

Admin/moderator etc. please can someone respond to my PM's.

P.S Big updates coming soon!

Love the build mate.

I'd love vvti.

What shell is that?

The shell is James' old beast (TheTurtleshead)

Still going? :D I thought you'd be done by now

So its been a while since I posted any updates, with this thread going somewhat cold.

I therefore, thought it best to update this as their might be the odd person wanting to see progress, and I'm currently doing myself an injustice.

Stay tuned!

So I pick up this thread with the VVTi engine having arrived, and the engine tear down begun.

At this point the idea was to go for a small single turbo with upgraded inlet manifold whilst refreshing the engine generally with new items including; Timing belt, water pump, gaskets, any o-rings etc.

I was aiming for around 500bhp with a ‘fast road’ setup looking for good spool and long-term reliability, and a somewhat nice looking engine bay. Anyway, photo dump…

At this point with the engine now stripped down, the slippery slope began.
