Cheers I've had it happen with a few split rims over the years, remove the tyre, seal the split rim with decent layer of tiger seal or similar, once it's set put refit the tyre. GreaseMonkey Posted April 12, 2015 Share Posted April 12, 2015 Just to add about your Tyre/ wheel air leak, would be worth removing the wheels from the car, inflate to 40psi and soak in soapy water solution and see where the leak is coming from, like checking the bike innertubes, as I find the inner and outer beads (between tyre and rim) can also leak from rubber & corrosion build up over the years, in addition to the plausible above mentioned split rim joint itself. 1.
