Fuel Pump

Guys

I've just fitted my EVC V boost controller and I'm all ready to drive the car with the BPU mods complete, apart from the fuel pump.

The car is a Jap TT and I do have a fuel pump (uprated) from a member on here however I haven't bothered to change the pump just yet as the car has had some work done on it before my ownership.

A very weird type of FCD was fitted so I haven't fitted the HKS FCD that I have.

To cut a long story short, is there anyway to check what type of pump I have without taking it out? Or a way of finding out if it's fit for BPU? I understand that if the fuel pump is not fit for purpose, I wont have sufficient fuel at high boost and this could cause big issues? Is this right?

If I have to take the pump out, is there an easy way of telling what type of pump it is?

I have found a fantastic removal guide on here so I am ready to get cracking if necessary!

Thanks for any help.

Cheers

Mark.

Job done, there was a massive jubilee clip around the plastic nut on the fuel pump so I guess some work has been done there also.

Regardless, its now been changed for a Walbro.... :)

Jubilee clamp is there from the factory. :)
