FOSTA
Hi guys, Just need abit of advice. Im currantly rebuilding my engine at the moment 2jzge (na-t) and I wanted to replace every seal and bearing, nut and bolt! Now looking at my crank and block itself looks fantastic! There wasn't much carbon build up at all and the bores look perfect! ( no score marks etc.) Now I've just orderd a full set of clevite 77 bearings for the bottom end in standard sizing from Titan Motorsport. Now reading a post by dazzi on team na-t, he says that his did not fit! They where too lose on some jernals and too tight on others! He then says that he had to order his bearings from Toyota in different sizes to match the crank and the same for the conrods! Is this always the case or have any of you guys fitted one size bearings throughout and it's been fine? Thanks for any advice guys
V8KILR
The ACL main bearings that I used were all the same size.
Chris Wilson
Plastigauge is your friend, if you don't have access to bore gauges and micrometers.
Swampy442
I think the bearing sizes are stamped on all the main caps and rod ends? There will be a number that corresponds to a bearing size/Toyota part number. Example :- 11711 BEARING, CRANKSHAFT 11071-46010-01 MARK 1, NO.1 1 $22.25 11071-46010-02 MARK 2, NO.1 1 $22.25 11071-46010-03 MARK 3, NO.1 1 $22.25 11071-46010-04 MARK 4, NO.1 1 $22.25 11071-46010-05 MARK 5, NO.1 1 $22.25 11701-46010-01 MARK 1, NO.2 6 $20.82 11701-46010-02 MARK 2, NO.2 6 $20.82 11701-46010-03 MARK 3, NO.2 6 $20.82 11701-46010-04 MARK 4, NO.2 6 $20.82 11701-46010-05 MARK 5, NO.2 6 $20.
Chris Wilson
The crank size stamping is irrelevant on a used crank, we are talking tenths of a thou inch. The crush figure on the block is also irrelevant on none OE shells. You can either learn to use a bore gauge and micrometer properly, (not as easy as it looks), or use Plastiguage. fastby4
ACL and Clevite STD bearings have the same thickness (1,495mm) as the OEM bearings with this no. 11071-46010-01 (1,495mm) Thomas

Slutters
Plastigauge is your friend, if you don't have access to bore gauges and micrometers. This, i did both on my engine and found the Plastiguage accurate. Make sure you use a good assembly lube like Redline.
