Safely Insured
Classic car insurance is usually for second cars, limited mileage, kept in garages, no commuting use, no or few mods etc. There is much more to it than the age of the vehicle. Dnk
What exactly is a classic policy ? I just had an agreed value limited mileage policy on my car with all mods declared, was a second car and cost a tad over £300 fully comp

Safely Insured
What exactly is a classic policy ? There are a variety on the market place but generally will have stricter entrance criteria and less policy benefits (eg no NCB accrual)
Purity14
I have mine on classic for less than £300 per year. Someone on here got the lowest quote i think it was raven, of £192 3 mods max usually. Milage is agreed and usually less than 5000 miles

mk1its
My car is finally ready for collection after 4 months of work so it's time to insure it. Footman James halved the price of Sky Insurance at £342 for the year with a 250 excess. You don't accrue NCB but who cares at that amount..? peter richards
just done a quote with footman and james and it came in at £225 , which isn't to bad exess was 100 so might get it less if I increase that but it didn't give the option to do it
Purity14
Congrats! Footman James are one of the cheapest, along with Lynbrook. Everyone gets quotes around the £200-500 but you have to pay more for agreed value. You don't have to pay anywhere near as much as what Sky Insurance are charging, agreed value or not. Safely Insured
Congrats! You don't have to pay anywhere near as much as what Sky Insurance are charging, agreed value or not. That would depends if you/the car qualify for classic cover or not, an awful lot of members will not be able to get this cover.
Havard
YeH it's great if you have a bone stock car you never use. But who here has that? Not many Me. I have been with Lynbrook for three and a half years. Never paid more than £330 for a 5K miles policy with wheels and exhaust as mods. I have now dropped the miles to 3K as we never use her but that brought it down to £280. I only paid £15 for agreed value of £8500. I just had to send in some pics of the car and mileage etc. I have had classic policies since my Supes were over 10 years old. Finding people to do this is hard. Once they are over 15 years it's a doddle. H.

Milage is agreed and usually less than 5000 miles Just been quoted £166 LV insurance on a 5,000 mileage fully comp PNCD. Was with £100 voluntary plus £200 compulsory excess though. So likely to go for a £188 Admiral on £100 voluntary excess.
