Timlowthian
Hi All Having issues with one of the Supra's I have here at the moment. Its a standard NA but it will not stay running. When you start the car it fires up but then the revs just drop and the engine stalls, it makes no difference if you keep your foot on the throttle as it doesn't do anything. I have swapped the complete throttle body (including tps and icv) with a known working one from another NA and has the exact same problem. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas what could be causing this?
David P
Could be fuel pump ECU, bypass it in the diagnostic port to find out.
Timlowthian
Ok so I just tried that by bridging the FP and B+ in the diagnostic port with a paperclip and still the same result.
David P
Is it lack of fuel or lack of spark? Can you hear the fuel pump working?
Timlowthian
After listening in the boot you can hear the pump running for a second after the engine dies. I have not pulled the leads and checked for spark yet.

David P
Check the vacuum hose to MAP sensor and/or connector/plug and/or the sensor. Check igniter body is earthed. And/or are there any fault codes?
