Gonna change the gear box oil and thought it would be a good idea to do the diff as well! Brad P.S. If you have any idea how much I am going to need that would be really helpful! Alex
Motul Gear 300 Silkolene Syn5 75w90 Both available from Opie Oils (OILMAN on here) I'd have about 2l's handy... You're filling the gearbox with V160 oil arn't you? You need 2L's of that too.

Homer
Brad, I've got 8 litres of Silkolene Syn5 75w90 sat right here (bought in error!). They're £8 a litre.. might be worth sending that stuff back to Toyota and picking this up?
Alex
Homer.... He's talking about V160 oil for the gearbox (that cost £45) But yeah he might want your DIFF oil off you. Syn5 DOES NOT BELONG IN A MANUAL V160 GEARBOX
Homer
Oops. Yes, syn 5 in a gearbox is a bad thing....
Alex
No Probs - I feel I have to jump on these sorts of posts as I'd hate for someone casually reading the BBS to get the wrong idea. No offence meant. I know the post came across pretty blunt
Homer
None taken mate! What I meant was I actually did put syn 5 in the gearbox when I first had the car Lets just say it doesn't work the way it used to and a rebuild is on the cards!
