hi guys, is it possible to tell difference between a prefacelift tt and a facelift pre vvti by looking at the vin plate? if so, what are the numbers / codes that would say that it's a genuine facelift tt and not a transplant? thanks

I would look at the abs pump part in the engine bay. Look at some engine bay shots and you'll see the module in the far right of the bay if looking from the front. If it's orientated square to the front and sides of the car it's a prefacelift if it's at 45 degrees to the front and sides it's a facelift. (obviously someone could have swapped this in to on a conversion but it's unlikely and if they have I suspect it'll be a proper job or to convert an NA to TT (which you can tell from the chassis plates engine 2JZ-GTE or 2JZ-GE)

There will be a cut off on the chassis numbers....less than 0033770 is definitely prefacelift as this is the highest number in 1995.

I think i worded my question wrong. I know the difference between a facelift and prefacelift supra. I wanted to know the difference between facelift n/a and facelift tt supra..........i.e....how to tell, by looking at vin plate, that it's a tt or n/a.

p.s...thanks for your input so far :)

The engine code should be there so the NA would say "2JZ-GE" and the TT would read "2JZ-GTE" :)
