steve spedd
Good Morning all, its been a while since ive posted but i was wondering if anyone know where i could get my prop-shaft cut and welded? Doing the R154 conversion so ive got the front section of that and the rear of the W58. Ideally located in the Sheffield/Nottingham area would be good thanks! LOGIE
Id personally try to get a custom made prop. Rather than weld 2 together.
David P
I thought that was a plug and play combo? If not, Dave Mac Props at Coventry will sort it.
steve spedd
No I think you have to reduce the length... I'd be happy if it was plug and play and stand to be corrected. Has anyone done the conversion in here? I've heard of that place before. Sounds like the place to go!
pedrosixfour
As far as I can tell whether you need to cut the front section of the R154 compatible prop depends one what type of R154'd car the prop was removed from. If the car was a 2 door (MKIII Supra, Soarer) then there is no need to shorten the prop, it will mate to the MKIV Supra (W58) rear prop section. If the prop was taken from a 4 door car with an R154 (Chasers mainly) then the front prop section will need to be shortened to fit it to a MKIV Supra.
